Annual Reports
Trade fairs, congresses and events are Messe Frankfurt's core business, both as an organiser in Germany and abroad and as a host. Fiscal year 2022 was massively impacted by the third year of the pandemic. The first quarter was completely cancelled in the western hemisphere and thus also the high-revenue flagship trade shows at the Frankfurt site. From the second quarter onwards, business was able to restart slowly. However, the key figures have improved significantly compared to the previous year. IFO Study: Economic effects of Messe Frankfurt
Every year, events at Messe Frankfurt generate immense purchasing power of €3.6 billion in Germany, half of which can be ascribed to Frankfurt. In addition, the events safeguard 33,260 jobs and result in €657 million in tax revenues throughout Germany. These are just some of the findings of a study by the ifo Institute.

Messe Frankfurt’s working strategy is based on closely following the world markets as well as effective and intimate client relations. Messe Frankfurt Istanbul Ltd. was established in November 2000. The idea to start a company in Turkey started from the premise that the Turkish market should be specified with the adoption of production industries. Establishing our company in Istanbul, in the midst of a highly dynamic economy and a powerful regional business hub, has allowed us to enable key Turkish exporters to have a say in their existing markets as well as new markets. We also focus additionally on the development potentials and processes of small and medium-sized companies, the robust backbone of the Turkish economy. We are proud to see many of our customers growing in time and become effective players in the international market.
Our company exerts efforts to ensure that Turkish exports open up to new markets.
Our specialized team of 20 staff members is based in Istanbul, and offers you the following services and assistance:
- Sales of exhibition booth space in the fairs on the Messe Frankfurt portfolio
- Assisting exhibitors at our fairs with all technical and logistic issues in exhibition installment process
- Serving as a one-stop information point for trade visitors and trade buyers who wish to visit a Messe Frankfurt event
- Serving representatives of the Turkish media and assisting them prior or subsequent to visiting our fairs, Communication and cooperation with government bodies and official institutions
- Co-operation with industry associations and unions for the development of Turkish pavilions in our trade events
- Offering services special to our fairs: travel, accommodation, booth construction
- Providing market information when required
- Organization of industry seminars, fair presentations and media events
Also, our office is responsible for the organization of Automechanika Istanbul, Motobike Istanbul, Festiveworld Izmir and Light + Intelligent Building Istanbul trade fairs. Our team of specialists look forward to offer you the required attention and service.
